After living in New Zealand for the better part of two years, Candice and I decided that we needed to be closer to home and family, and headed back to the States with hopes of finding work in Vancouver, B.C. Neither of us had ever been to the west coast of Canada, but we did know there are amazing mountains, pristine wilderness and wildlife, and plenty of work in the arts. We left Buffalo, NY for a long drive that would let us visit family and firends, explore Colorado (where we got engaged), and hopefully lock down work permits and possible employment before making it to Canada.
