Greater Vancouver Food Bank, Vancouver BC

The Greater Vancouver Food Bank is one of the biggest non-profit organizations in Vancouver BC who strive to create empowering environments that provide and promote access to healthy food, education and training. They believe people should have access to healthy and sustainable food in a dignified manner. Volunteering with them is excellent as they always have varying opportunities.

I’ve done everything from sort canned goods in the food bank warehouse to dressing up like a banana for an annual Christmas fundraiser, to collecting funds at a BC lions game, to manning a GVFB booth at the Vancouver East Van Beer Fest. They always have wonderful opportunities for volunteers and always keep us on our toes. The GVFB is one of the most organized non-profits I have ever volunteered with and they continue to go beyond in helping less fortunate people in Vancouver find better options for healthy food.
